Targeting Rules

Targeting rules are conditions that a visitor must meet before Behavora considers showing them a banner. If a visitor does not match the rules, the banner is skipped entirely — regardless of its priority or feature weights.

Limit a banner to specific device types:

Option Description
All devices Show to everyone (default)
Desktop only Show only to visitors on desktop or laptop computers
Mobile only Show only to visitors on smartphones or tablets

Show a banner only on specific pages of your website. You can match by:

  • Exact URL — e.g., https://yoursite.com/pricing
  • URL contains — e.g., /blog/ to target all blog pages
  • URL starts with — e.g., /products/ to target the product catalog

Require a minimum level of engagement before the banner is eligible:

Rule Description
Minimum page views Show only after the visitor has viewed at least 3 pages
Minimum time on site Show only after the visitor has been on the site for at least 30 seconds
Minimum scroll depth Show only after the visitor has scrolled at least 50% down the page

When you set multiple targeting rules on a banner, all rules must match for the banner to be eligible. For example: “Desktop only” AND “URL contains /pricing” AND “at least 2 page views” — all three conditions must be true.
